Detroit Central Farmers Market at Greenfield Village
“The Henry Ford acquired the Vegetable Building from Detroit's Central Farmers Market in 2003, saving it from demolition. Like the farmers markets of today, the Detroit Central Farmers Market was a gathering place – a commercial center, a hub of entrepreneurship and a community space where family, friends, and neighbors congregated and socialized.
This farmers market can become a destination again, a resource for exploring America's agricultural past, present, and future.” -thehenryford.org
Now, the Detroit Central Farmers Market is alive in all it’s glory and back in action in Historical Greenfield Village. Bring the whole family down to check out all that Greenfield Village has to offer and while you’re there, stop by the Detroit Central Farmers Market and support small business just like Detroiters did in the 1800s!
